Hi! We're Angie and Simon, and we run The Ink Spot
The Ink Spot is a small, family run, and community-minded craft ale bar on the Northumberland coast. We like a good beer, and when we realised the premises, an old tattoo shop, was available, we had a proper lightbulb moment... We wanted to do something in the community, and something we'd enjoy, and The Ink Spot was the result. We are currently open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for take-away off-sales, and indoor and outdoor seating. You can see something of our journey here.
The interior of the bar reflects our own interests in music, books, art, tattoos, and a certain amount of activism.
This is something new for the village, and we are proud to be part of the night out experience for locals and visitors alike.
We currently serve six draught ales from CAMRA-approved keykegs using an an eco-friendly system which keeps the beer free from any additional gas injection, meaning it comes to you exactly as the brewer intended. We try and get a varied selection of the best ales we can while retaining a price point for the community. There are a range of suppliers we work with, and we will do our best to put popular ales back on when we can, depending on availability and pricing.
Also on offer are a range of 60+ great bottled and canned ales, a selection of gins, red wine, white wine, Prosecco, and a handful of bottled ciders.
We operate an over-21s only policy, and we don’t allow vaping on the premises. We are bound by law to encourage responsible drinking.
All well-behaved dogs are welcome!
